Fireside Chronicles of the Black Walnut Fellowship:
“…the moment everything changed
Following the conclusion of Ha Ha Tonka’s Saturday Night Headlining set, Highlonesome’s Resident vagabond troubadour Nate Carr shall part the darkness of Doc’s Loop trail as he leads a contingent of the willing to the sacred fire circle of The Black Walnut Fellowship.
There, on the Black Walnut Stage, recent initiates into the Fellowship shall spin late night yarns before an intimate gathering of midnight festival revelers.
All attendees are invited to spectate or contribute to the storytelling performance: No fees required, but registration greatly preferred for those seeking initiation to the Fellowship by chronicling a true life story from the Black Walnut Stage.
This year the fellowship has divined that these woods desire stories within the realm of the theme: “…the moment everything changed.”
The Fellowship seeks real-life, personal stories of 5-10 minutes derived from this forest-mandated theme. Tales can be sentimental, geopolitical, science steeped, soaring and triumphant or dark and despairing. Stories are meant to be told, not read; practiced and honed, but not rehearsed verbatim.
Fireside Chronicles of the Black Walnut Fellowship is inspired by storytelling programs such as The Moth, This American Life, and Snap Judgemen
